Example Itinerary - McLaren Vale (depends on availability & times)

9am – Pick up Adelaide or Surrounds

Hotel or private address pick up

10am – OLIVERS TARANGA

Six generations of stubborn, competitive growers and one equally spirited winemaker — that’s the Oliver family.

Living in the middle of McLaren Vale, they flourish on producing perfect parcels of fruit on their 100 hectare ‘Taranga’ property.

Their collection of small batch, handcrafted wines speak of both the variety and vintage, capturing a time and place, while continuing to document the family’s ongoing 184-year relationship with the land.

11.15am – Kangarilla Rd

Kangarilla Road has always been known as the winery with the leaf on the label. So much so that our branded hashtag for Instagram says just that; #thelabelwiththeleaf. The label design appears simple, but on closer inspection you will find that each variety of grape has its own particular morphology. Each of the different wine varieties Kangarilla Road makes reflects the varietal integrity as expressed by the leaf on the bottle.

12pm – Samson Tall

Samson Tall is the joint venture of Paul Wilson and Heather Budich. The couple make wine from grapes purchased from local McLaren Vale growers in a small winery on their Strout Road property, while their cellar door operates out of a gorgeous small church built in 1854, and you are usually welcomed by one of their cutest dogs!

If you are well versed at playing the piano, you have an option of playing in the cellar door, or if you are shy, there is also one in the loo too!

1pm – RESTAURANT LUNCH

Restaurant Options: Salopian Inn, Currant Shed, or Ekhidna Wines (subject to availability).

Afternoon – Sew & Sew

At Sew & Sew we believe beauty is in the detail. We recognise and appreciate the patterns of the growing process in the vineyard – the sun, water, soil and the vines themselves, which all create different rhythms throughout the year. We harness these patterns from bud to bottle to create beautiful, hand-crafted wines. Sew & Sew wines pay homage to their region, varietals and vintage. We aim to produce wine that respects the journey from vineyard to dinner table, resulting in wines that are designed to be enjoyed over a good yarn or two. Based in the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia, Sew & Sew is a partnership between friends, with a shared passion for quality wines and good company. Our wines are produced from vineyards hand-selected by our team to ensure we are using only the best fruit available in the region to make the best possible wines for your enjoyment.
